The Oktoberfest cuisine
Bavarian cuisine is a real minefield for all of those who have set themselves a goal to lose a few kilograms. Characterised by its faithfulness to the regional identity and by its great originality, it is an integral and distinctive part of the Oktoberfest, it is the same tradition, it is the same atmosphere, and helps to enhance the liveliness typical of the Bavarian climate together with the serious desire to satisfy the most demanding of palates.
The typical dishes defining the Bavarian cuisine are very substantial and the recipes are simple to prepare and are based on ingredients easy to find.
From the starter to the dessert, herbs and spices are used in the preparation of the food and are added to give a delicious taste and especially to the dishes.
These are certainly not light meals and in general, the Bavarian culinary tradition favours fried food and the use of lard and other fats, both vegetable and animal.
