Program for Guided Tour of Munich
Find the bus to Isartor (terminal) and depart for Stachus-Königsplatz (a symbolic Munich square, in a neoclassical style, reminiscent of the Magna Grecia) at 4pm then on to Nymphenburg castle (the House of Bavaria summer castle where Ludwig II was born, king of the Neuschwanstein fairy tale castles etc.) a short stop, then on to the Olympic centre, (without stopping) and proceed to Schwabing (a famous Munich district, the centre of artists, students etc. ), continue to Leopoldstrasse (Schwabing avenue), Ludwigstrasse then on to Maximilianstrasse(famous monumental avenue built by Ludwig I, grandfather of Ludwig II), (an elegant Munich avenue) go down to the National Theatre (which is at the end of Maximilianstrasse ). From there visit the Cathedral, in the main Marienplatz square (where three times a day at 11-12 -17 o’clock, the famous Glockenspiel chime rings and rotates), continue on to the Viktualienmarkt, a charming open-air fruit and vegetable market and most importantly, a short visit to the Church of Saint Peter (the oldest church, the cradle of Munich) finally on to the Hofbrauhaus, one of the most famous breweries in the world.
